I work in a collaboration with landscape architecture and urban design, we design around beauty and beloved places that are socially vibrant and ecologically restorative.
Every scale is essential in our work, combining design excellence and a deep knowledge of ecology to regenerate, connect, and renew the outdoor built environment.
Our studio values action, implementation, and learning by doing. To meet the climate crisis, we together must simultaneously shift to a renewable economy and adapt our landscapes for the change to come. Our highest value and aim is to physically transform our gardens to meet the moment. The studio centers biodiversity and love for the natural world in all of our work, and see the studio as a solution to environments that sustain us.
The studio is positioned to work as a co-designer alongside the plants, wildlife, and of course, people that we share our communities, outdoor spaces, and gardens with. We see design strategy and community conversation as a way to talk about a site's social, ecological, physical, and historical context, weaving this information into visual stories that invite people into a design conversation. Throughout the process, together we explore questions and share ideas. The studio is grounded upon principles of equity and social justice, and that belief translates into actionable landscape plans.
It is our hope that everyone will feel deeply connected and involved, as we work together as stewards of the environments that sustain us.
